The Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) is the nation's oldest private marine research laboratory. Woods Hole MBL participates in research such as cell and developmental biology, ecology, microbiology, molecular evolution, global infectious disease, neurobiology, and sensory physiology.
